Bob Schwell, our beloved volunteer for many years, passed away on 15th December 2016, May he rest in peace. How very much we will miss you, Bob, and loved you dearly.

This was an amazing life full of chesed, loving kindness. Bob and his wife Susan passed this love of chesed on to his entire family and through many grandchildren his legacy lives on.

As a young man with a pressure job, in charge of the computer system of Traders, he nonetheless took time to think of the poor and hungry. Renting vans to pick up delicious catered food from celebrations, he filled his Van to capacity and delivered it to the poor.

Once retired, Bob and Sue made Aliyah settling in Jerusalem. Not one to sit at home when needs existed, Bob began volunteering at organizations that provided food for the poor and the elderly. He did it all. Packaging meals, and dry goods, organizing teams of volunteers and never missing an opportunity to respond to an emergency.

True to form, Bob's entire family have already set aside time to continue volunteering at the Senior's Health and Life Enrichment Center.  Bob has taught his family well and Ezrat Avot is thankful for each one.

May his memory be for a blessing.
